Haute Dolci Manchester – intu Trafford Centre

Haute Dolci is a decadent, elegant and sophisticated dessert dining experience with beautifully presented desserts to fulfil your sweet tooth cravings. The Haute Dolci team have pushed themselves to the limit in launching another spectacular branch based in Manchester – intu Trafford Centre! The team were so lovely to invite us to their launch night on Friday 14th December 2018. We received a beautifully packaged exclusive Dolci VIP Key.

If you didn’t know, Haute Dolci has already launched in the following locations: Cheshire Oaks, Coventry and Leicester. We have also done a review on Haute Dolci in Leicester and Cheshire Oaks Branch. Check it out to know what my experience was like!

What does each type of Key represent?

This is a question on everyone’s lips when they hear about “The key.” so I thought I would take it upon myself to do the footwork for you. Thank me later! They have an Invitation Key, Gift Key and a Normal key allowing you to have different types of benefits by using the key.

Benefits of having a key: One key can unlock all stores. You can have exclusive premiere event access, two months of 10% discount after the grand opening, treats and more discounts when dining in. A secret menu (once released) priority seating in store, loyalty App member, and much much more. Each store has its own different key, so if you manage to collect them all, you might be in for a surprise! So it’s definitely worth collecting them.

The Gift Key: This is a special key which has prepaid funds to it in allowing you to use the gift key in- store to make purchases. It’s credited with a £25 gift voucher. This key can be bought as a gift for a loved one or can be to use for yourself and you can also win them in competitions.

The Key Hunt: The team at Haute Dolci started off giving keys away with an initial key hunt. they placed numerous Keys all over the Trafford Centre. on the piano near Carluccios, inside the stores, in restaurants etc and if you found the key then yes, you guessed it! You are one of the lucky people to try out their delicious desserts before anyone else! Now, Haute Dolci has unlocked which means you can get priority seating with the Key.

The Invitation Key vs Normal Keys: These are similar but both have their own perks. They are a limited number of invitation keys which Haute Dolci giveaway to the special guests. There are 50 VIP invitation keys in the world which are given to special guests and VIP’s and Haute Dolci give the people a chance to win them. Alhamdulillah we were one of the chosen ones and we felt very special! The normal Keys still function in the same way as the VIP keys giving you priority access etc.

Rules of having a Key: One key can give access to as many people as you would like to locked Dolci’s and it can be shared by anyone, if you dont have the key then you will be required to Que in Unlocked restaurants.

The Place –Haute Dolci is situated above the Food Court on the first floor in The Great Hall of Trafford Centre, near TGI Friday and Pesto Restaurant. Upon arriving in the food court entrance, your eyes will lead you to a tall flight of stairs and will be fixated on the white, illuminated Haute Dolci sign. It just looks so grand & elegant, I love how they have utilised the existing interior of the Trafford Center so well.

I love how they have perfectly placed the signs in between the pillars which are directly in front of you as you walk in from the car park entrance near Five Guys. It’s very inviting and for those who have never heard or been before, it will intrigue them to find out more and head on over there! Great branding. I noticed that the Restaurant is within the boat themed section of the hall so the restaurant is curved around the outside. Another great use of the existing architecture.

The booth seating was absolutely gorgeous. It was a cream/beige colour and it complemented very well with the gorgeous, stylish chairs which I immediately fell in love with as soon as I set my eyes upon it! I want this in my living room!

Also, not forgetting the dreamy chocolate taps at the counter area telling you to “devour me.” One of the taps is pouring out their delicious Belgian milk Chocolate the other with Belgian White Chocolate. Considering that Haute Dolci had to go through a lot of red take with the Trafford Centre team in adding their own creative flair to the place, I think they have done a pretty good job.

Haute Dolci will be introducing a private dining area soon with a view of the food court and water feature for those who want to go that extra mile for a special occasion and enjoy the VIP experience. For those who need to pray at the Trafford Centre, there is a prayer room on the first floor next to Debenhams, near the exit.

They had beautiful eternal flowers from their very own range called “Haute Fleur” placed beautifully along the seating areas making it eye-catching. unfortunately, they aren’t selling them in-store but you can order them online.

The Team – The Haute Dolci Team greeted us with a smile when we arrived. Their uniform was very chic and smart, everyone looked the part. You could tell that they were very passionate about this new launch because they were eager to show us around the place! They made us feel very welcome and always checked up on us to see how things are with the desserts and they were always on standby. I couldn’t fault their service in most of their branches. They are all a bundle of joy, ensuring we leave happy and content.

The Desserts – Haute Dolci have now simplified their menu in order to make it easy for us to decide what to order. they have an extensive menu, from the likes of waffles, cookie dough, crepes cakes, coffee etc. Alhamdulillah they also have a Gluten Free and Vegan menu to cater for all needs. The pictures of the full menu are at the bottom of the page. Can’t wait to go back to try more of the menu after a spot of shopping! Here is what we tried so far:

Best I Ever Had (£7.80) – Belgian waffle drizzled with melted Nutella, sprinkled with roasted Hazelnuts, dark chocolate pearls and served with a scoop of Hazelnut Gelato. Now, I am quite fussy when it comes to waffles and it’s tricky to get it right once you know how it SHOULD taste. That’s why I always go from Belgian Waffles and it tastes so so good! These waffles are amazing and combined with the deliciously silky melted chocolate is a dream!

Maiden Voyage (£6.80) – Golden stacked pancakes laced with rich, Belgian milk chocolate, topped with Belgian chocolate Gelato. I added White Belgian Chocolate and extra Belgian Milk Chocolate because it’s so lush. You will not want Nutella with your desserts ever again!

Slumber Party Special (£6.80) – Baked milk chocolate cookie dough, topped with chocolate curls, served with a small pot of warm Belgian milk chocolate and Madagascan Vanilla Gelato. This is one of our favourite desserts we always order and every time it tastes just as good. Can’t really fault their cookie dough here, it has the perfect consistency with a slightly crisp outside and fluffy on the inside.

The Drinks – It’s definitely worth ordering drinks at Haute Dolci. They have a unique drinks menu, filled with an array of hot drinks, sundaes, milkshakes etc. which makes you wants to try out a range of what they offer. Hence I totally recommend that you challenge yourself and don’t be shy ordering something which you usually wouldn’t!

Caffe Cioccolato (£3.50) – Finest ground coffee with Belgian milk chocolate and Belgian milk chocolate Gelato. Crowned by whipped cream and milk chocolate curls. This was an ABSOLUTE DELIGHT! If you are like me who loves to combine delicious heavenly chocolate with coffee then this one is definitely for you!

Mintberry Mojito (£5.40) – A combination of strawberry sorbet and lemonade blended well with fresh mint leaves and poured over with ice. This is always delicious! The best thing about it is that subtle flavours of the mint comes through which is sometimes difficult to get the hints of flavours right!

Belgian Chocolate Milkshake – The pefect blend of Gelato, Milk & Belgian Chocolate.

The Menu – Haute Dolci Have two Menus first is the extensive Desserts Menu which has thankfully been simplified to help make it easier to decide. The images shown on the menu have been highlighted with a corresponding colour on the menu to help you pick visually. They also have a smaller Drinks Menu which has some amazing options. Both menus have been shown below.

The Verdict – All in all, I immensely enjoy my desserts here at Haute Dolci and Heavenly Desserts. Alhamdulillah, they never fail to amaze me and always deliver well with good, luxurious desserts. It’s definitely now one of my top places to have dessert in Manchester!

Had the most amazing desserts at haute dolci in the Trafford centre. We were lucky and got a booth which was really nice. We had eaten and my husband was just going to have a coffee but when he saw the desserts and how they are made he joined me. It was so good we bought a key and are going back tonight. Unfortunately we live in Aberdeen and can only visit when we are down. Staff were lovely, service excellent and desserts amazing. I also had a non alcoholic cocktail which was great
