Frankie’s is an HMC Certified, Gourmet Burger, fast food Restaurant serving up authentic Aberdeen Angus burgers, Peri Peri Chicken, Milkshakes, Movenpick Ice-cream, vegetarian options, as well as a range of dishes to suit any palate to the people of Blackburn Shareef. 😛 Their first flagship store is in Batley on Bradford Road. Alhamdulillah, they have smashed it out in that area and have become one of the most popular restaurants in Batley. Frankie’s have JUST opened in Blackburn and we were pleasantly invited to their soft Launch which took place on the 17th of January.
Their official launch was the 19th of January. Just so you know, they will be opening another franchise in Bradford very soon, near the Broadway Shopping Centre. Alhamdulillah, it was very kind of them to invite us on their soft launch to try out their Yummy menu, which is also featuring their new breakfast menu which is exciting! Which reminds me, the menu pictures are down below so stick around and let me know what you think about the review!
The Place – The building has been completely renovated both internally and externally as it used to be a Pub before. You will not miss where the place is if you have never been due to the bright neon Frankie’s sign outside against the white building.

The new look interior features the signature Frankie’s sign and large red booths for seating large groups of people.

They also have a “party” section where you can fit about 15 people to celebrate a special day with your loved ones. This area looks pretty awesome and I love the bright sign on the wall! Also, I was thinking that for those who observe Pardah, they can comfortably lift it up if they are sat facing the Neon sign shown below.

Frankie’ s atmosphere is always lively with loads of families bringing their little children who definitely will keep you entertained. The place is absolutely huge for a fast food restaurant but I love it because it can fit more people in and less waiting time (of course depends on HOW busy it gets).

It was very busy when we went to the Soft Launch on Friday night before the Grand Opening. The place was flooding with people with queues out of the door so bear that in mind.

You wouldn’t think that a fast food place would have nice decor right? But you are wrong! Frankie’s interior carries a modern theme and you could even take your spouse out on a date there because it looks cool inside!

The walls have shiny, bright white tiling on one side and a darker grey/brown on the other side with cool signs all over the walls!

Take a look at these cool signs which takes you by surprise when you walk into the main area.

The Team – Alhamdulillah, given that it was intensely busy on the launch night, the staff handled the human traffic really well. The manager Shaheena was very nice and friendly. She made sure we get our food on time and checked if everything was okay even though she was rushing round like a headless chicken! She was honestly just so nice and she had that homely vibe about her so we felt comfortable immediately. A smile goes a long way!

Such a cool idea to have this Frankie’s Angel sign for kids and bloggers to take their selfies!
The food – I personally, love the food here at Frankie’s. Mainly because everything always tastes fresh and of good quality, whilst the flavours are exceptional and delivers really well! Of course, there have been times when I have visited the Batley branch where it sometimes goes a bit haywire but all in all, they execute the burgers and food really well. I can’t wait to try their breakfast menu! They, of course, feature the traditional English Breakfast and Vegetarian Breakfasts, cheese omelettes, pancakes, french toast which all sound super yummy! When ordering your food, you need to go to the counter as it’s like a takeaway system, they will give you a buzzer and you take it to your table. When it vibrates, it means your food is now ready to be picked up. I have to mention that I love how the food is presented well in a nice tray, rather in them disposable takeaway boxes which really makes all the difference! Here is what we ordered:
Big Mama (£4.99) All meals are served with house fries and drink of your choice – First of all, we began with this beauty of deliciousness. Crispy Fried Chicken fillet drenched in Buffalo sauce topped with hash brown, crunchy Tortilla chips, Jalapeno, finished off with Lettuce, Mayo and cheese, all sandwiched in between a soft bun. Served with chips. Honestly, this was one of the best burgers I have had. The chicken was crunchy and beautifully tender, tearing

Lamb Chops (£6.99) – Grilled Lamb Chops coated in sauce. served with freshly chopped salad and chips.

Wings (£4.49) – A portion of six sticky chicken wings glazed in Buffalo sauce. You can choose up to six flavours: Lemon & Herb, Buffalo Sauce (which is my fav), Mild, Hot, Extra Hot and Mango & Lime (which is a new flavour ooh) When I ate the first wing, I was astonished about how the flavour and texture were produced. I’m usually not a huge fan of these because of the skin but we all annihilated these until you could just see bare bones! I highly recommend you order this!

Peri Peri (£4.99) – Peri Peri Chicken burger grilled and covered in Peri Peri sauce and Mayo, topped with cheese, Red Onion and Lettuce. We opted to have cheesy crinkle Fries with this meal. My Dad ordered this and oh my was it good?! Absolutely delectable and simply just amazing. They do one of the best Peri Peri sauces here and I have to give it to them, it’s so delicious! However, I wasn’t too keen on the cheese on the crinkle fries.

Double Whammy (£7.99) – 100% Beef Patty AND Crispy Fried Chicken Fillet smothered in Frankster sauce AND New York sauce, topped with Red Onion, Lettuce, Jalapenos and Monterey Jack Cheese. Why choose one when you can have both? 😛

I asked for the Beef patty to be cooked medium and to my shock, it actually was! See the pic below of the burger Alhamdulillah this was really nice, if you love meat, then this one is for you!

Popcorn Chicken (£2.99) – Pieces of Chicken coated in batter and deep fried to perfection. These were an absolute delight. It was definitely one of my favourites! We also order this in the Batley branch and the quality is faultless. The batter is crispy and crunchy whilst the chicken is succulent and soft Alhamdulillah.

1/2 Peri Peri Chicken (£7.99) – You can choose up to different flavours/spice levels, we opted for mild

The Verdict – All in all, our experience in Frankie’s was thoroughly enjoyable. I really liked the lively atmosphere inside on a cold and dark winter’s evening. Everything was spot on. We are a huge fan of this place and is one of our favourite burger restaurants. I must also mention that the pricing is reasonable even though they provide good quality meat and chicken. Their portions are also huge so it is definitely worth it.
