Haute Dolci – Bolton

Haute Dolci – A taste of sweet luxurious desserts in a deluxe, fine dining setting is born in the heart of Bolton, Lancashire. My thumbs have been twiddling with the awaiting of its opening in Bradshawgate and now the waiting game is over! I am SO EXCITED to share our amazing experience with you! Jazakallah Khair to the HD Team for inviting us at the VIP exclusive event on the 13th February! They were so kind enough to gift us their VIP Exclusive Key which was presented on a bed of roses in a very sophisticated box prettied up with a ribbon which purposefully matched the AMAZING decor. *squeals with delight*

As always, I have done you all a favour in having the menu pictures at the bottom of the page so keep on reading to find out more!

Before the launch, the team at Haute Dolci began their well-known Key hunt in Bolton Town Centre. The golden keys were hidden in various stores in Town and if you were lucky enough to find one, this gives you a chance to unlock the store and gain entry before the launch. You can also purchase the key with their Gift Key if you didn’t have the chance to find one. They also give them out randomly to people walking by and you can also win one through competitions. Just FYI, the store is now unlocked which enables everyone to dine in without needing to present a Key to the staff.

So a question on everyone’s lips is what is a Dolci Key and what’s it all about? According to the information I have researched, each Haute Dolci key grants access to the loyalty club with points, discounts and charms, Private Dining, priority queuing, exclusive offers and benefits. The key will enhance your experience of boutique venues with priority queuing, 2 months of 10% discount after the grand opening, private dining suites, double points events and a Secret Menu (which is still to come) on offer for all members.
There isn’t much of a difference between the VIP key and the normal key but they both have their own perks. However, there are only about 50 VIP Key’s available in the world which is given to special guests. You can win them and they function in the same way as the normal keys. The Gift Key is a special key which has prepaid funds to it in allowing you to use it in-store. It’s credited with a £25 gift voucher. This key can be bought as a gift for a loved one or can be used for yourself and you can also win them in competitions.
Each store has its own different design for the key, so if you manage to collect them all, you might be in for a surprise! Haute Dolci will also be launching an App where you can gain loyalty points. You can enhance your key by purchasing one of the charms as this will show your loyalty. Hope this has explained things if not then just drop them a message on Instagram and they will be happy to help!

The Place – Haute Dolci Is an exquisite looking 2-floor dessert restaurant with opulent ambience and design. Luxuriously dark teal blue booths and grey chairs feed through the atmosphere with lovely marble tables surrounded it.

They have used the space wisely by using different sized tables ensuring they cater to customers who come with a different number of groups. Also, it doesn’t make you feel like you are sitting on top of everyone and that there is a good amount of space between tables.

What I absolutely love is the intimate and private seating arrangement upstairs where you will find one side of the room which will fit about five couples. It’s so beautifully designed with gorgeous teal high booth seats complete with a gold light in the centre. Lovely to bring your Zawj (spouse lol) or someone special to you.

Couple’s intimate dining

There is also the main private Dining area that is strategically next to the couple’s seating area on the top floor which looks absolutely amazing. It’s designed in a way to have an intimate dining experience with your family/friends and of course, the stunning teal booths make a statement feature!

Additionally, there is another Private Dining room located in the left corner on the bottom floor. It has one big round table which is even more private than the one upstairs as that has two tables. This room is perfect for ladies who wear Pardah because its a closed room so they will feel comfortable removing the veil whilst eating. (such a struggle to eat whilst wearing it!)

Loving the Floral Decor! Perfect backdrop for selfies! #instagrammable

Every time I step foot in any of the Haute Dolci Restaurant’s, I am taken aback by the stunning decor and unique themes used in every branch and how they have managed to upholster the furniture differently.
It’s incredible to see that every Haute Dolci store carries a different interior design that enables customers to experience a different vibe and ambience whichever store they visit.

When I walked in with my family, I was instantly fallen in love with the place! The exterior of the Haute Dolci building is designed with a subtle and understated style which creates a luxurious look from the outside and paired with the lit up Haute Dolci sign and logo, it looks very inviting and attractive to drivers and those walking by.

Haute Dolci launched their own florist company named Haute Fleur. The beautiful lifelong roses are displayed near the entrance which caught my eyes immediately as soon as I walked in!

Beautifully styled and packaged to perfection! They are also for purchase so give your loved one’s flowers to last a very long time!

Next to these beauties is a lovely counter where you will find a collection of Macarons and other sweet treats which is also for purchase.

I was immediately attracted to the OMG GORGEOUS floral decorations spread across the counters and walls! They look so beautiful in person and complements the interior design beautifully! This is my favourite decor in the whole building!

Of course, let’s not forget the one and only chocolate taps looking ever so pretty beside each other. It’s so awesome that these kinds of interior features make Haute Dolci stand out from any other dessert place. It’s very cleverly thought out.

Obviously, the kitchen is where all the magic happens, situated in the centre of the place with open plan design. You can watch your dessert being created right in front of your eyes!

Haute Dolci has its own Car Parking available at the rear of the building through the metal gates between the white building that houses wheel works and the Haute Dolci building. (see image below)

They also have underground parking which is through the metal gates and on the left-hand side. If this area gets full, there is another parking available which you pay for.

Alternatively, street parking is available which is free outside of these hours.

The Staff – Alhamdulillah the staff at Haute Dolci greeted us with a very warm welcome. Shout out to Mohammed Hadeed who we got chatting to about all things food and desserts! We have met him a couple of times in different HD stores and he always comes across very friendly, helpful and kind. He even took his busy time out for us and showed us around the whole place! Our server was incredibly helpful too and she was very patient with us when we kept delaying our order as we were obviously very spoilt for choices and wanted everything but had no idea what to get! After serving our desserts, she checked up on us and asked if everything was okay with our order. Also, the service from the manager Mohammed was impeccable. He is so genuine and kind. Alhamdulillah, the service was great during our time there and we are looking forward to going back!

The Desserts – At, Haute Dolci, they have the main menu and a drinks menu and some options cater to those who follow a gluten-free diet. They can also adapt drinks and cakes to be vegan-friendly but check ahead just to make sure They have simplified the menu so it makes it easy to read and decide what to order. If you are still unsure about what to pick, at the back of the main menu, they have a create your own section where you can choose what type of dessert you would like with toppings, chocolate sauce, ice cream etc. (see the menu pictures below) Haute Dolci has hit the nail on the head and has created consistency throughout all the branches. They offer a wide range of desserts such as waffles, crepes, pancake stacks, cookie dough and an amazing concoction of drinks like milkshakes, Mojitos, hot chocolate, coffee…the list is endless! After a lovely and warm welcome from the Staff, we were shown our seats and this is what we ordered…

Waffle Bites (£1.80) – We started things off with this delicious Waffle piece with lashings of Dolci Milk Chocolate slathered on top. You can choose from the following flavours: Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate, Toffee & Butterscotch and Nutella & Nuts. It was a really nice way to start the evening. The Waffle was cooked to golden perfection, crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside and paired with my FAV Belgian Milk Chocolate, I was in dessert heaven! You can also choose your portion size according to the number of people so there is enough for everyone.

I’ll Have What He’s Havin’ (£7.60) – American Waffle smothered in Warm White Chocolate sauce, with sweet strawberries, topped with white chocolate curls and served with white chocolate dipped strawberry and Caribbean Coconut Gelato. I opted for Stracciatella Gelato as it’s my favourite Gelato. This is a white chocolate lover’s dream! I immediately dived into this (after taking a picture haha) Presented beautifully and tasted Amazing! Very good value for money as well. This is one of the few places that make the waffle’s texture crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, rather than it having a soggy batter.

I’m Not Sharing (£7.60) – American Pancakes stacked on top of each other and drenched with Dolci Milk Chocolate and scattered with soft Bananas, topped with soft and chewy Fudge pieces. Served with Madagascan Vanilla Gelato. We opted for Cookies & Cream Gelato to mix things up a bit and it was so delicious! Also, I was pleased that the pancakes were fluffy and thick in texture.

Slumber Party Special (£6.60) – Milk Chocolate Cookie Dough with a slathering of chocolate curls on top, served with a pot of warm Milk Chocolate and Madagascan Vanilla Gelato. If you have read our previous posts, then you know that this is our firm favourite! I love the consistency of the cookie dough throughout, it has that slight crisp texture on the outer, and very soft and fluffy on the inside, perfectly paired with the Vanilla Gelato! Totally recommend this!

My Favourite Things (£6.60) – Mini Victoria Sponge Cake spread with Strawberry Jam and sprinkled with coconut shavings. Served with warm, vanilla custard. The sponge is an absolute winner carrying a soft and fluffy texture and as you take a spoon of the velvety custard with the cake, the flavours dance in my palate! This was addictive and utterly delicious!

Check out the silky smooth custard draped gracefully along the cake! YUMM!

Macarons – A selection of Mint, Pistachio, Biscoff, Peanut Butter, Nutella and Espresso (bottom to top) introduced in a sleek black box, tied with a ribbon. They look incredible! These are the exclusive range as they have these unique flavours. They also have a classic range where they have the most popular variety: Almond, Pistachio, Chocolate etc…

The Drinks –
Haute Dolci has a separate drinks menu offering a wide array of options which will leave you in the temptation to order almost everything due to their amazing description of every drink! Here is what we ordered…

Cioccolato (£3.50) – Coffee + Chocolate = Heavenly! This is my go-to combination for when it comes to chocolate-based drinks. Every element of this drink is just soo delicious! You can’t go wrong with good quality milk chocolate drink with ground coffee for that oomph flavour! This is mixed with cool Belgian Chocolate Gelato, crowned with whipped cream and topped with milk chocolate blossom curls. I LOVE the glass that it comes with! <3

Dark Orange (£3.50) – Steamed milk and chocolate Fudge Sauce with Dark Orange Flakes, flavoured with orange, topped with whipped cream and milk chocolate blossom curls. If you love the combo of orange and chocolate (Terry’s chocolate orange lovers) then this one is definitely for you! I’m not too fond of the combo but I was surprisingly impressed with this and I really enjoyed it because it was like Hot Chocolate with hints of citrusy orange flavours running through which achieved a good balance. Although, it is quite rich and can get sickly if you are like me and ordered way too much dessert that I couldn’t finish it. I would give this drink a definite 8/10!

Loving the cool chocolate drip effect around the mug! Amazing presentation!

Chocolate Avalanche (£4.80) – Belgian Chocolate Gelato and Vanilla Ice – Cream milkshake topped with a humungous amount of whipped cream and milk choc blossom curls. The consistency of the milkshake was thick and smooth with lovely bits of whippy cream coming through. Also, hats off (or Hijabs off lol) to them for serving it with a thick straw rather than the flimsy thin ones which are difficult to drink out of.

Still Water (£1.50) – Okay you might think this is silly to post about but how cool is this that Haute Dolci have branded their own water? Love the glass bottle it comes in too! When dining at Haute Dolci, there is one thing that every table needs is water!

The Verdict – Overall, Alhamdulillah I really enjoyed my experience at Haute Dolci. They managed to pull everything off given that it was their first day of being open. The decor is utterly phenomenal and its a perfect place for an intimate occasion with someone special or with your friends and family. They have made the restaurant a place for celebrating special occasions and exchanging gifts in a relaxed and cosy environment and they have certainly achieved this vibe. The staff were amazing and very helpful, ensuring we were happy at all times and checked to see if we had any further requests. Lastly, the portion sizes are huge so I would say that it is definitely good value for money. They have definitely managed to remain consistent throughout each store when it comes to delivering good quality desserts.

The Menu  – I have included both menu images below: Dessert Menu and Drinks Menu. They are presented in the form of a book so you can flick through all the amazing concoctions created at Haute Dolci. Don’t worry, it’s not complicated anymore as they have simplified it so it’s now easier to pick and choose. The menu features, fan favourites, exclusive Dolci key holder options and allergen statements which is vital. You can choose from classic collection signature or exclusive collections too.
